The OMT Story
OMT is a technology solution provider to the media and broadcast industry. Our products touch millions of listeners world-wide every day through radio, satellite, cable and internet broadcasts. Two of our flagship products include our iMediaTouch Digital Delivery System and Radio’s Number One Selling Digital Logger, iMediaLogger.
Through our Intertain division, we also provide the media retail industry with background music & messaging and multimedia previewing kiosks.
OMT is also a world leader in providing large scale audio delivery systems used by DTH satellite services and cable music systems including: DMX/AEI (Denver, Los Angeles, Munich, Santiago, Mexico City), Music Choice (New York, USA), CBC Galaxie (Toronto, Canada) and Corus MaxTrax (Calgary, Canada).
Innovative Products and Technology
The company has been recognized for its innovative products and technology by RadioWorld's “Cool Stuff” Award at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in 2000 for iMediaLogger (multi-channel audio logging and recording software) and also in 2001 for iMediaAdCast (Internet streaming content substitution system) products. OMT’s successes are due, in part, to having a keen understanding of multi-media technology and emerging trends in the industry.
At the heart of OMT’s technology strategy is the integration of the most popular multi-media CODEC’s into the core of the company’s software. By integrating the multi-media CODEC’s into software the company can rapidly develop products and solutions and also reduce distribution, support and technology licensing costs. This unique approach provides OMT with significant strategic advantage in its current markets and the ability to easily develop new products for new markets and business opportunities, rapidly and cost effectively.
