1010 WINS
- New York, NY - (Among
the Top 10 Billing Radio
Stations in the US according
to Duncan’s Radio Market
Guide), installed their
original iMediaTouch "Link N
Lock" system in February
1997. In the spring of 2005,
WINS upgraded the system to
the latest iMediaTouch "Non
Stop" Windows software and
commercial redundant play
out system. 1010 WINS cannot
afford a "make good" so the
original DOS MediaTouch and
most recent 32 bit Windows
iMediaTouch systems simply
always play the scheduled
spots.
A
major reason for
choosing iMediaTouch
"Link N Lock" in
1997 and "Non Stop"
in 2005 was the
benefit of
synchronized triple
digital audio
playback redundancy
to insure digital
audio play out in
any Air studio
selected. Each of
the three AIR
positions can hand
off newscasts
seamlessly, or
operate
interactively on a
breaking news story
if more than one Air
studio is needed.
Three On Air touch
screens (one at each AIR
console position)
communicate with twin master
On Air computers that act as
a Master and a Slave. If any
Master has problems the
slave instantly takes over
the current log position and
even resumption of audio
play, all a seamless
transition with no audible
detection to the user or
listeners that the Master
and Slave have switched
their functions.
News Anchors
have the ability to fire
next events while reading
their scripts using the
iMediaTouch bi-directional
button START interface and
Hot Buttons that play
station ID’s and Sounders on
touch.
