iMediaTouch On-Air

New Feature

XML Active JPEG output via UDP

In the Internet Configuration, when exporting the XML data over UDP, the album art is now included with the XML data.

New Feature

Debug files were too large files now split after 5 MB

Large debug files are now easier to handle and email as they are limited to 5MB.  They become separated and the naming changes to show which hour it was separated in.

New Feature

New processor support

Tested to support Core 2 Duo and Pentium D

New Feature

Store Forward will backup Projdata to Secondary drive along with audio library to tertiary

In the event that the On Air is configured using Primary, Secondary and Tertiary databases, the Store Forward will now copy the projdata to the Secondary location and make the drive letter changes.  This eliminated the need for users to change the Secondary projdata database manually.

New Feature

XML and LMIV files can now be sent out over UDP

For connecting to devices directly on the network the XML and/or LMIV data can be sent to the device directly.  This is helpful for streaming devices that list artist and titling information.

New Feature

SAS 1600 in SUM mode now directly supported

Allow users to use the SAS 1600 SUM switcher mode. Currently we only support the TAKE mode.

New Feature

Added debug fro Store Forward functions

a debug log is created when store forward performs functions

Fixed

WMA playback issue with items ending too soon

WMA encoded files would end a few seconds too early when played back.  This is now corrected.

Fixed

Playback stuttering after a network failure with PCM audio

When recovering from a network failure and using PCM audio, items cued up after the repair may playback with a stutter.  This is now corrected.

Fixed

bad audio file or zero length file will halt On Air

When a bad audio cut is encountered, the On Air would halt.  This is now corrected.

Fixed

ZM Bidirectional closure activating automation stop closure

Changed it so that the automation stop area cannot be reached with the Bidirectional closure.  Stops infrequent error of automation halting when using the bi directional starts/stops.

Fixed

When setting the switcher for SS4.2 the closure will work

Previously when you select SS4.2 the closures did not work.  THe workaround was to select as SS8.2.

Fixed

Pause text on start button is now correctly formatted

Previously the font used for the word pause would not fit on the button.  It now does.

Fixed

Audio drops/level issue with PCM based audio when using Voice Tracking

In some rare cases using a PCM audio library and using Voice Tracking, you may experience a slight audio drop during the transition from a voice track to the next cut in the log.  This had to due with using Auto Duck.

Enhanced

Primary, Secondary, Tertiary failover now works better

Ability to have two backup locations in the event of failures.  Primary database is the main library.  Secondary database is a backup copy of the main library.  Tertiary is a local copy of the audio on a local hard drive.

Enhanced

Items cue up faster

Noticeably faster cue up times.

New Feature

Compact Full Log window

The Full Log window has been made smaller and now shows each item with a separator.  This was primarily done to allow the implementation of the Full Log Drag & Drop function.

New Feature

Full Log drag & drop

Added the ability to drag and drop log items from the Full Log window to the main log.  See the Full Log section for more information on usage.

New Feature

Main Log drag & drop

Added the ability to drag and drop log items from the main log.  See the Log Events section for more information on the usage of the main log drag and drop function.

New Feature

Multiple display support

If you have a secondary display connected to your On-Air computer, you can optionally display the audio editor and voice tracking windows on the secondary display.  See the Multi Monitor Support section for information on usage.

New Feature

Showlog Tally Memo On/Off function

Added the ability to toggle the status of the Showlog Tally function on or off by the use of a MEMO event.  See the iMediaTouch Log Tools Help file under 'Text Strings > Memos > Showlog Tally' for details on usage.

New Feature

Insert Feed into Log from Showlogs

Added the ability to insert a feed assigned to a Showlog button into the main log by triggering the START closure assigned to that feed.

New Feature

Added a configuration option to override the default album art image

Added the ability to control the filename of the default album art image on a per category basis.  Currently, the default album art image filename must have been named 'default.jpg' in order for the software to display it.  Now in this version, you can specify the name of the default album art image using a configuration option.  To implement this, open the 'settings.ini' file in the 'C:\OpLOG' folder and modify the filename for the 'defaultartname' value in the [PATHS] section.  You must restart On-Air to apply changes to this value.

New Feature

Added an option to control the XML Output delay

Added the ability to delay the output of the Internet XML files in the same manner as the HTML files.

Fixed

Error [-9991] when using the Record function with some audio cards

A problem was corrected with some audio cards, specifically AudioScience and M-Audio cards where the Record function of the software did not function and caused a [-9991] error.

Fixed

All recording devices not being displayed for specific interfaces

The drop-down list for the recording devices in the On-Air configuration was limited to a specific number of entries.  For audio cards such as the MOTU 24I/O which itself supports up to 12 record devices, all of the devices would not be listed.  This fix increases the number of devices that can be listed in this drop-down list.

Fixed

Bottom status bar section for PTA1 now displays 'Showlog' and 'Main Log' devices instead of 'Foreground' and 'Background' devices respectively

As of Version 2.6.0, the device labels in the 'Devices' section of On-Air Workstation displayed 'Foreground' and 'Background' to describe the Showlog and main log devices respectively.  This fix changes the bottom status bar of the main GUI to reflect the same naming convention change.

Fixed

Using Category Audio Pitch and inserting Hook Logs into your log no longer results in events being cut off prematurely due to incorrect EOM and STOP times

Using the Category Audio Pitch feature of the software would dynamically adjust the EOM time of events in the main log to reflect the change in playback duration.  It was found that EOMs for Hook Log events would not change so this fix is to correct this problem.

Fixed

Playback errors when playing more than one audio file at a time on various dual core or Hyper-Threading enabled CPUs

In some cases, we have observed erratic playback in the form of 'digital distortion' which was due to a problem with decoding serialization in newer multiple CPU or multiple core workstations (e.g.: Intel Core 2 Duo/Pentium D/AMD Athlon X2 processors.)  This fix serializes the decoded data from the software codec to a single CPU or single core affinity to correct the problem with multiple audio stream playback.  If you are using one of the above mentioned dual-core CPUs and are still having issues, please contact OMT Quality Assurance at qa@omt.net.

Fixed

Full Log display anomaly caused by incorrectly displayed rotation information

The Full Log had a problem displaying items that were part of a rotation.  More specifically, if the item was at the top of the Full Log display, the item would appear with strange text.

Fixed

Clicking the top-most or bottom-most item in the Full Log caused it to inadvertently scroll

When opening the Full Log, if you clicked the first or last displayed item, the display would scroll when it should not.  This has now been corrected.

Fixed

Group selection from Audio Library within the Showlog Editor was not displayed correctly on initial startup

On initial startup of On-Air, if you opened the Showlog Editor and clicked the AUDIO LIBRARY SELECT or LIBRARY MULTI SELECT buttons, the GROUP button would not display the available groups correctly.

Enhancement

Added rotation MEMO information to Full Log screen

If a rotation item causes a MEMO to occur, the Full Log entry will now display the specific cut rotation and reason why the MEMO occurred. (e.g.: MEMO: COM1000B File not found)

Enhancement

You can now also use the ENTER key on the keyboard after inputting Level 2 or Level 3 passwords

If you were entering a password to enter Security Level 2 or 3, you had to click the OK button with the mouse to continue.  Now you can also use the keyboard ENTER key to accomplish this.

Enhancement

Added soft sync protection

A soft sync can now only remove a maximum of 15 events to avoid problems with log errors.

Enhancement

Added soft sync delay

Soft syncs are now delayed if a segue is to occur within two seconds of the soft sync.  This change was made to avoid having problems where there is no event to play because it has not yet been cued by the system.  Previously the result of this would have been a 'Starter Log Scan Warning' or in rare cases a stoppage in automation where the built-in watchdog is not enabled.

Enhancement

Added confirmation on Showlog page overwrite

If you have made a change to a Showlog page and you choose to overwrite an existing page with the same name, a confirmation dialog is now shown to avoid accidentally overwriting the wrong page.

Enhancement

Added confirmation on Hook Log overwrite

If you have made a change to a Hook log and you choose to overwrite an existing log with the same name, a confirmation dialog is now shown to avoid accidentally overwriting the wrong page.

Installer

Installer now displays unreleased software version information in the Control Panel under 'Add/Remove Programs'

Now for unreleased software versions, you can find out which particular Release Candidate (RC) or Beta version you had by opening the 'Add/Remove Programs' section of the Windows Control Panel.  Additionally, this same information is also displayed on the registration splash screen for unregistered software versions. (e.g.: iMediaTouch On-Air 2.6.1 RC2)

Installer

Added support for large database model installations (requires a large database model upgrade in order to be applied)

The default MediaTouch database model supports up to 50,000 entries.  A new large model is also available which supports up to 200,000 entries.  This change to the installers now discovers which database model you have and applies updated versions accordingly.  To upgrade to the large database model, please contact MediaTouch Support at 1-800-726-2635 and speak with an available support representative.  This upgrade procedure requires the end user to apply a one time upgrade patch to existing software versions before the installers can perform this function.
