Backyard
Broadcasting Acquires
iMediaTouch for its
Elmira/Corning, NY Radio
Cluster
Winnipeg, MB – OMT Inc.
(TSXV: OMT) announces that
Backyard Broadcasting has
purchased OMT’s iMediaTouch
Digital Delivery Software
for five of their radio
stations located in
Elmira/Corning, NY.
Backyard Broadcasting owns
and operates 27 radio
stations throughout the
central and eastern regions
of the United States. The
company was formed in July
2002 to pursue the
opportunity for
consolidation in target
radio markets. In May of
2005, the company acquired
the assets of Midcontinent
Broadcasting, a five station
cluster in Sioux Falls, SD
that has used OMT’s
iMediaTouch platform for its
radio operations since 1996.
“We are extremely pleased
that Backyard Broadcasting
has chosen iMediaTouch for
its Elmira/Corning, New York
radio cluster,” states Ron
Paley, Founder of OMT. We
look forward to a long term
positive relationship with
the company and hope to
install more iMediaTouch
systems within their group
as Backyard continues to
acquire more stations.”
“iMediaTouch is a perfect
fit for our market. It has
the redundancy we were
looking for as well as the
features the PD’s expect,”
comments Ben VanPatten,
Chief Engineer, Backyard
Broadcasting Elmira/Corning
New York.
